Gardening on the Countertop

I grow sprouts in mason jars throughout the year. This mini container garden sits on my countertop. Practically, it’s a money-saving habit. Sprouts are expensive and usually have a lot plastic packaging. Aesthetically, it is interesting home decor. Then, especially in winter, it a source of wonder. It is still fun for me to watch the sprouts grow after all this time.

  • Here is what’s important: you do not need a green thumb to successful at this.
  • Here is all it takes: a mason jar, cheese cloth or one of these screens, and twice-a-day rinsing.
  • How long do you have to wait? In less than a week, you’ll have delicious sprouts!
  • Finally, here’s how I learned: YouTube and online tutorials. Those words are links. Click if you’d like to check them out.
